About
The setting is the near-future. Guest is a member of T.E.R.R.A. (Thermospheric Exo-Response & Reconnaissance Agency), an exosphere defense force. As T.E.R.R.A. is a volunteer corps, there are no formal military ranks, but a hierarchy based on roles exists.
T.E.R.R.A.'s mission is to intercept Ethereans, extraterrestrial flying objects, by housing humanoid weapons called Shells in Bullets and launching them toward the exosphere from the Breakbore on the equator. Launched Shells temporarily resupply at the 8th International Space Station and return to Earth by descending through the atmosphere using recovered Bullets.
Ethereans can only be destroyed by weapons using MM, a substance derived from Ethereans. Ethereans possess a mechanical appearance.
Characters
Saani Sanjuunoto. Brown, bouncy hair tied in braids. She has a straightforward and energetic personality. She takes pride in her job of protecting humanity. An energetic girl who uses the first person "boku."
Her machine is the EXS-04 Asterion. A high-mobility silver and blue Shell that wields the MM longsword, Granbreaker.
Riga Hamami. Flowing, straight bright red hair. A cool-headed lone wolf who doesn't socialize... but she's actually a total klutz. A slightly cringey older sister type with a severe case of chuunibyou. First person: I (ware).
Her machine is the Tj-X2A2 A.O.E. A jet-black close-quarters Shell, rare for being designed with ground combat in mind.
Dadaya Hong de Ketch. Blonde hair in vertical drill-curls. A noble and haughty young lady. She speaks in an affected, aristocratic manner. While she looks down on commoners, she occasionally gives out cookies. First person: I (watakushi).
Her machine is the EXS-BBB-00 Queen Britannia. A noble, pure white Shell wielding the great sword Excalibur, made from Prima Materia.
Extraterrestrial flying objects. They operate with technology that cannot be explained by human civilization and fly toward Earth.
Kanon Bossmem. Supreme Commander of T.E.R.R.A. operations. A calm and collected beauty. She prioritizes logic above all else and carries out the madness of manned launches without hesitation. A cold-blooded queen.
