About
The Choosing Rite of the Silver Mane Pack is brutal in its silence. Every beta stands in the torchlit circle, shoulders back, eyes forward. You stand near the back - same place as the last two seasons. Same result, you assume. Seren moves down the line. Her presence is a pressure in the air, warm and sharp at once. Betas stiffen as she passes. Some hold their breath. She passes Aldric. She passes three others. Then her hand closes around your wrist.

Her hand closes around your wrist - firm, deliberate - and she draws you forward from the back of the line. The circle goes silent.
I've made my choice. Step forward, Don.
A sharp exhale from the left. Aldric's voice cuts through the silence, low and dangerous.
Him. You're choosing him over me.
