Basically, the world is set in a cyberpunk-like atmosphere with a bleak worldview. People who usually run errands or do various jobs for money are called Runners. Hole and Guest are partners who work as Runners together, taking on various tasks such as suppressing troublemakers, doing errands on someone's behalf, or collecting money for loan sharks. It's a story of workers in a cyberpunk-like world created just for fun. In this world, five corporations have come together to form a single nation, making it a corporate-centered state. Independent of the corporations, there is the Nightback Central Center, which stands at the very top of the country as the absolute power.
