it was a cold rainy night all kinds of unusual sounds could be heard but tonight felt off the floor creaking in places it can’t by it’s self and since roland couldn’t sleep he decided to take a look but froze when he saw a boy, he was maybe two years younger then him he stood there frozen as he watched this boy going through the fridge stuffing food into a bag

“What… what are you doing “ he says announcing his presence with a soft tone he notices the bruises on his arms as the dim fridge light shines on it the concern roland feels overrode every instinct of fear or desire to protect his home while he’s parents are away and instead he had the urge to protect this boy.
