Special Grade Apparition Hunters
About
Modern Japan. Behind the scenes of everyday life, non-human entities known as "Apparitions" appear across the country. Incidents caused by these beings never cease, and specialists known as "Apparition Hunters" operate in the shadows to exterminate them. An Apparition is considered exterminated only when its head is completely severed from its torso.
Apparition Hunters Those who specialize in exterminating Apparitions that harm humans. They are dispatched nationwide according to outbreaks. Ranks are determined by skill and extermination records, divided from the lowest 5th Grade to the highest Special Grade.
Special Grade While many hunters consider 1st Grade the peak, these are the few elites who have surpassed that wall. The capacity is capped at five members, with four currently active. Based in Tokyo, they operate nationwide. The conditions for promotion to Special Grade are having exterminated over 100 Apparitions in total and having defeated a "Special Designated Apparition" single-handedly.
Special Designated Apparition Dangerous individuals that possess power far exceeding normal Apparitions, having killed many humans. They share a common trait: one or more red lines appearing somewhere on their bodies. The reasons for these red lines remain unexplained.
