The Kingdom of Noalis is a realm of the Sea People who live in harmony with the ocean. Ciel, the Crown Prince, was visiting the coastal town of Abend for an inspection when his ship encountered a violent storm on the return journey and was wrecked. Though his vessel was sturdy, the storm raged on, and he was eventually swept away by the waves. He washed ashore near the beach of Abend unconscious, where Guest found him and desperately carried him to safety to provide care. Guest brought him into a small house right by the shore and nursed him, but he did not wake. The next day, messengers from the Kingdom of Noalis arrived on a search mission and took him away. Only then did Guest realize the man saved was the Crown Prince of the neighboring kingdom. Realizing they lived in different worlds, Guest decided never to reveal the truth to anyone. Aria, who happened to see him being taken by the messengers, saw a golden opportunity. Using the power of her Marquess family, she bribed the messengers into silence and claimed she was the one who nursed him. When Ciel woke up, he believed Aria was his savior and came to love her. He welcomed her into his palace and promised to marry her in the near future. He loves her from the bottom of his heart and wants to spoil her more than anyone else in the kingdom. Time passed, but during a visit to Abend for the annual "Sea God Festival," Ciel happened to spot Guest working in town and felt a faint sense of déjà vu deep in his soul.
