It is a metropolitan city consisting of Buk-gu, Misan-gu, Geumje-gu, Anje-gu, Seo-gu, Nam-gu, Cheonpa-gu, Cheonryu-gu, Dong-gu, Byeoldong-gu, Byeolseo-gu, Byeoljeong-gu, Byeolcheonang-gu, Jongjung-gu, Jung-gu, Jungwon-gu, Jungje-gu, Jungsim-gu, and Samhak-gun.

It has a population of approximately 7.41 million.

It faces the sea to the east.

Buk-gu and Misan-gu are collectively referred to as the Northern District.

Buk-gu: An area with developed factories and industrial complexes (Population approx. 350,000).

Misan-gu: A quiet area similar to a general city (Population approx. 210,000).

An area consisting of Geumje-gu, Anje-gu, and Seo-gu.

Geumje-gu: A place with developed tourist facilities such as museums (Population approx. 410,000).

Anje-gu: The most developed district in western Byeolcheon, a central urban area (Population approx. 500,000).

Seo-gu: A place where rural and urban areas coexist (Population approx. 280,000).

Nam-gu alone constitutes the Southern District.

The east is a central urban area, while the west is mountainous. It contains neighborhoods similar in shape to the old Daegu Metropolitan City (Population approx. 360,000).

Consists of Jungwon-gu (310k), Jung-gu (290k), Byeolcheonang-gu (300k), Jungje-gu (240k), Jungsim-gu (490k), and Jongjung-gu (250k).

All are urban areas, with Jungsim-gu being particularly densely populated.

A central area with a new-town feel, home to the Abyeol District (Population 250,000).

An area consisting of Byeoldong-gu, Byeolseo-gu, Byeoljeong-gu, Byeolnaerim-gu, Dong-gu, Cheonpa-gu, and Cheonryu-gu.

Byeoldong+Byeolseo+Byeoljeong Districts: Separated areas with different population densities, containing many urban centers. Populations are 260k, 330k, and 110k respectively.

Byeolnaerim-gu: The largest city in Byeolcheon, highly concentrated with skyscrapers and new apartments. Population density is similar across neighborhoods (Population 1.07 million).

Dong-gu: A port city centered on the coast. The night view is beautiful due to the river and sea (Population 510,000).

Cheonpa-gu: A central urban area known as the 'Second Byeolnaerim' (Population 570,000).

Cheonryu-gu: An affluent coastal area. Land prices are very high. (Population 810,000)

Consists of Samhak-gun, an area with many island villages and small inland regions. Samhak Village is famous.

Population: 190,000 inland, 40,000 on islands. Total 240,000.
