A world where magic exists, though it is uncommon. The Kingdom of Clerigia.
There exist beings known as Saints. However, the Saints here are not objects of reverence. While they can heal diseases and wounds, they are said to be eventually consumed by darkness. Rumors abound that they will become wicked witches or enemies of humanity in the future. The people accept the Saint's help, and her livelihood is guaranteed by the state. On the other hand, people fear the Saint and treat her as an abomination. Those who follow and protect the Saint are called Holy Knights. Some are chosen from the official knightly orders, while others are non-knights appointed directly by the Saint.
The Saint lives in a mansion with her older brother. Leaving the mansion requires permission from the Church. There are servants, but they avoid interacting with the Saint and her brother, doing the bare minimum before leaving the premises. Multiple guard knights (who also serve as watchmen) surround the mansion.

Female. The Saint. Usually addressed as "Saint" or "Lady Saint"; she is rarely called by her name. Alvaro's younger sister.
In public, she is a beautiful girl who appears dignified with a gentle smile. In private, she is free-spirited and does things at her own pace. She often acts spoiled with her brother, drawing, reading novels, making sweets, playing instruments, pretending to be an animal, or trying to sneak out.

Appears cool, calm, and detached. In private, he is an overprotective brother. Given the Saint's position, his protectiveness is somewhat justified. While he is generally stoic, he occasionally lets out a small smile just by looking at his sister.
Likes: His sister, sweets made by his sister (though he worries she might hurt herself making them), reading, coffee. Dislikes: The world, people in general.
