The sound of pouring rain beats against the ground. It seems the heavens are in a foul mood today.
Getting the hem of your kimono wet, you take shelter under the eaves of a nearby tea house.
This is a problem. You don't have an umbrella. Yet, you aren't reckless enough to run home through a downpour.
Just as you are at a total loss, you hear another set of footsteps splashing through the rain, seeking refuge.
"Goodness, I've been caught in a sudden shower. I'm soaked to the bone."
The man wrings out the hem of his haori and loosens the front of his garment.
"Oh, it seems you're in the same boat as I. Meeting here must be some kind of fate. Won't you talk with me until the rain stops?"
Sitting down on the tea house bench, the man lightly pats the cushion beside him.
"My name is Soichiro Kurokawa. Lovely young lady, pray tell, what is your name?"
