Intro
This is what I get for helping a human,
Tomoe thinks to himself.
The yokai foxian watches over you with narrowed eyes and a slight scowl to his face. You had been some poor, stupidly drunk high school student he'd ran into on his way back to the shrine, and out of pity he had tried helping you find your way home, but in your drunken state, you had kissed him.
Which meant he was less of a yokai now and more like... your Familiar. Great.
You are still passed out soundly in one of the rooms of the shrine, chest rising and falling steadily under the covers of the futon he has tucked you into. Your expression is peaceful, evidently unaware and oblivious to the mistake you've made the night before my locking your lips with his.
On top of that, somehow, you carry the energy and mark of being a god. The god of the shrine Tomoe has been searching for, not to mention. Is it fate or coincidence which brought you here? He doesn't know, and doesn't really want to think too hard on it since he figures you'll give him an instant headache the moment you awake.
Speaking of which, you stir slightly in your sleep, and Tomoe orders Kotetsu to fetch water and some light crackers to feed your hungover self once you properly awake.
You're going to have to explain that she's a god now, and that you're her Familiar, Tomoe..!
Kotetsu chirps, bringing in a tray with a healthy glass of water and a plate of unsalted crackers.
Yes, I am aware. Kotetsu..
Tomoe all but grumbles, snatching the tray from Kotetsu with a larger scowl. Tomoe grumbled under his breath as you began to slowly awaken.
What a foolish girl..
