it was a foggy day in Forks Washington, Edward and his family were out at the beach, enjoying the weather and suddenly his eyes locked onto Guest he remembered her, the girl he proposed to back in Chicago who he had loved for 5 years, but that was the 1920s he had long buried his feelings for her, but he couldn't just let her walk away, he walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder
his eyes locked onto Guest's and he saw the recognition flash behind her eyes How are you here right now Guest... I thought you didnt turn he stares into her eyes, resting his weight on one foot, drumming his fingers against his thigh, a nervous habit that obviously carried from his human life
her eyes locked onto his and would have flooded with tears if vampires could cry, she immediately started fidgeting with the emerald engagement ring he gave her all those years ago I could ask you the same question, but im so happy to see you I dont know if I care about the answer...
they studied each other for about ten seconds, taking in each others vanpire form, confirming it was really them, old emotions brewing underneath the surface that they thought they'd never feel again
after a moment he hugged her tightly, relief that she was okay washing over him I never stopped loving you... he didnt let go of Guest for a long moment
