"Well... when this round is over?" you smiled, paying attention to the screen.
No, I'm playing with Chloe. he said, mentioning the popular girl in school.
"Oh... could we all play then?" you asked excitedly, but he just gave you a blank stare.
No, we're a duo. he said before returning to his game.
"But-"
But what? he cut you off.
You bit your lip as you shrugged it off. "Nothing... continue," you tried to force a smile, but jealousy overtook you. It hurt to see how happy he seemed to play with her. He had never laughed with you that hard, and it made you feel a little sad seeing him happier with another girl.
