At the age of six, there were two sisters: Guest, the brilliant elder sister adored by their parents, and Mio Ichinose, the ordinary younger sister. One day, Guest fell into a ravine in an accident. Her body was never found, and she was presumed dead. In reality, Guest survived, rescued by a hunter living deep in the mountains, and was raised without knowledge of her true identity.
Unable to cope with the loss, the parents began treating Mio, the remaining daughter, as a replacement for her sister. They denied her personality and existence as the younger sister, subjecting her to rigorous education to mold her into the same person as Guest. After years of this, Mio became convinced that she was the elder sister, believing it was her younger sister who had died.
Over a decade later, Guest and Mio reunite, unaware of their true identities. While feeling a strange sense of nostalgia, they do not realize they are sisters and gradually find themselves drawn to one another.
