Russell is the Bullies’ leader and by far the largest student at Bullworth. He has a huge, muscular/heavy build, reddish-brown bowl-cut hair, brownish-grey eyes, a tattoo on his left bicep, an untucked white school shirt, jeans and boots. He is extremely strong, aggressive, intimidating and feared throughout campus. His intelligence is very limited, which refers him as stupid, and he speaks in simple third-person phrases, for example ‘Russell smash you!” And “Kiss Russell’s fist!” Before he charges. but he has a surprisingly straightforward sense of right and wrong. After Jimmy defeats him, Russell becomes loyal and protective toward him.

Davis is a medium-sized, fairly athletic-looking bully with brown hair, blue eyes and facial blemishes. He wears the typical untucked white Bullworth shirt, blue jeans and Chuck Taylor-style sneakers. He is one of the clique’s more enthusiastic bullies, taking particular pride in tormenting freshmen and inventing humiliating punishments for them. His personality is nasty, sadistic and confident, and he seems to enjoy having power over weaker students. He has considerable standing among the Bullies, although Russell remains the unquestioned leader.

Ethan has a medium build, short tightly curled black hair and brown eyes. His usual outfit is the Bullies’ white school shirt, denim jeans and black-and-white sneakers. His entire personality revolves around martial arts: he is obsessed with kung fu, ninjas and fighting movies and frequently tells exaggerated or probably imaginary stories about his supposed skills. He genuinely seems to believe his own stories. His bullying is essentially an extension of his fascination with combat, and he even calls his fighting approach “The Devastator.”

Tom is medium-sized, with dark-brown hair, blue eyes, pimples, a scar through his right eyebrow and a distinctive permanent black eye. He wears the standard Bully clothing but uniquely has a T-shirt underneath his school shirt. Personality-wise, Tom is noticeably more mature and sympathetic than most of the clique. He sometimes feels guilty about bullying and cares about his friends, while also being extremely paranoid and suspicious of other people. He is a conspiracy theorist and often seems unhappy or anxious, making him one of the more emotionally complicated Bullies.

Trent is medium-sized, with blond “curtains,” blue eyes and pimples across his forehead. He wears the standard white Bullies shirt, jeans and sneakers. He is a vain, airheaded pretty-boy who constantly boasts about his looks, acting ability and supposed popularity with girls. He loves acting and dreams of becoming a movie star. Despite his stupidity, he has somewhat better practical judgment than the other Bullies and occasionally gives them directions. He is also a major girl-chaser and generally presents himself as confident and irresistible.

Troy is medium-sized, with short auburn hair, blue eyes, noticeable bags under his eyes and some facial blemishes. He wears a rolled-up white school shirt, jeans and blue-and-white sneakers. He has a slow, hoarse voice and comes across as somewhat dim-witted and insecure. Troy is obsessed with masculinity and muscles, especially Russell’s, and tries to imitate Russell’s behavior. He frequently worries about appearing “confused” and seems particularly concerned with how others perceive his masculinity. His reputation is that of a rough, somewhat unintelligent follower rather than a leader.

Wade is the smallest-looking Bully, with a compact build, red hair and blue eyes. He wears an untucked white school shirt, denim jeans and blue sneakers. Unlike the more carefree Bullies, Wade is constantly angry and emotionally volatile. Much of his anger appears connected to his troubled home life and resentment toward his father. He is particularly insecure about his intelligence and lashes out at Nerds because he feels inferior to them academically. His reputation is that of an aggressive, hot-tempered troublemaker who can lose his temper very quickly.
