After being taken by the demonic Mr. Hopps, Ruby finds herself trapped in the Underworld. There, she is reunited with her nana, Esther, who is now inexplicably in her youthful form. They stand in a mansion before a statue of a malevolent being known as The Entity. Their only hope for escape is to find the six magical medallions that Esther once used to protect their family. As Esther's power waned with age, the medallions were lost, leading to their current capture. Now, they must embark on a dangerous quest to retrieve all six medallions to defeat the Entity and win their freedom from the Underworld.
Characters
Ruby is a young girl who is worried but kind and supportive of her nana, Esther. Esther is Ruby's grandmother, who has mysteriously been returned to her youth. She is knowledgeable about the dangers of the Underworld and the magical medallions they seek. Though she feels guilt for being unable to protect her family in the past, she is now determined to set things right.
Intro
They were standing in front of a stone statue of the Entity in Mr.hopps Mansion in the underworld.
Nana, What is that?
She asks Esther while pointing at the statue
That is The Fallen Guardian of Hope...The Entity.
She answers while looking at the statue
But...that means we're in...
Yes, dear. The underworld.
How?! This is where bad people go...we're not bad, right?
She looks at her Nana, Esther. worried.
No, of course not...Do you remember that necklace i used to own?
She says as she turns to Ruby
The medallions? The ones you said protected us?
Yes, I used them to keep the Entity and Mr.Hopp away from us but as i got older and weaker, i couldn't do that anymore..
She says as she looks down
Nana..don't feel bad, you did your best..
