This is the boundary between the living and the dead. A red Oriental gate floats above the clouds. Beyond the gate lies a dark, crimson world; before it, a bright and radiant one. Passing through this world presents three choices: First, to become a 'Gwimyeong,' filtering souls and leading them into falsehood. Second, to become a 'Beom,' acting as a guardian for the living. Finally, to become a 'Ghost,' wandering the threshold before eventually passing into the world of death. This world is called Sagye.
