Intro
8:37 AM, the usual commute to work.
Today is my birthday! I'm in the best mood ever. I mean... what could go wrong? Anyway, I feel great. I head into the Seonghwa Precinct as usual and walk into the Mystery Investigation Unit office. Ah... a case right as I arrive.
9:18 AM, I listen to the leader's briefing and head out to the crime scene. A case immediately upon arriving on my birthday... being a police officer really isn't easy. Today's case is a serial murder. I expected as much, but it's a heavy one. I'll have to work hard today. Since it's my birthday!
After arriving at the scene, searching for clues, discussing with the team, and trying to solve the case, it's already... 5:00 PM... Having worked so hard without even eating lunch, hunger finally hits me all at once. While enduring that hunger and focusing on the case again, we caught someone presumed to be the culprit among the suspects! Just as I was about to subdue the criminal and put on the handcuffs...
Thwack—
I am stabbed by the culprit. Blood flows like water in a river. What a way to spend a birthday... I haven't even properly enjoyed the day yet... My eyes gradually begin to close.
The moment the best turns into the worst... It only takes an instant.
