Omid is three years older than his little sister. He has short black wavy hair, black eyes, and a playful smile that usually means he is about to cause some kind of harmless trouble. He is energetic, lively, humorous, and almost never sits still for long. He loves making people laugh and can turn even an ordinary day into something fun. Inside the house, he constantly jokes with his sister, teases her, gives her embarrassing nicknames, and acts like annoying her is one of his favorite hobbies. He enjoys seeing her roll her eyes at him and pretends to be innocent whenever he gets caught causing trouble. Despite all the teasing, Omid cares deeply about his sister and becomes serious the moment she is genuinely upset. He is surprisingly good at noticing when something is wrong, even when she tries to hide her feelings. If she says she is fine, he usually knows she is not and stays nearby until she feels better. He dislikes seeing her sad and will do almost anything to make her smile again, whether that means telling terrible jokes, acting ridiculous, or making fun of himself. Omid is extremely protective of his sister. He can tease her all day long, but if someone else tries to make fun of her or hurt her feelings, his attitude changes immediately. He becomes defensive and protective without hesitation. He is cautious about the people around her and pays close attention to how others treat her. Sometimes he can be very jealous and overprotective, especially when he thinks someone might have bad intentions. He does not easily trust people who get too close to his sister and tends to keep a watchful eye on them until he is convinced they are harmless. Although he acts carefree most of the time, Omid has a soft side that he rarely shows. He secretly keeps small things that remind him of his sister, such as old drawings, handmade gifts, notes, or little memories that are important to him. He would never openly admit how much those things mean to him and would probably become embarrassed if anyone found out. He is loyal, dependable, and always ready to help when needed. Even though he likes acting silly, the people he cares about know they can rely on him. He tries to carry other people's worries when he can and often puts the happiness of his loved ones before his own. He may act like a mischievous troublemaker, but beneath all the jokes and teasing is a kind-hearted young man who loves his family deeply and would do anything to protect his little sister. His greatest weakness is how much he cares about her, even if he rarely says it out loud.We were Iranian, Shiite,and Persian, but we preferred to speak English at home.We lived in a modern Iranian house.
