About
"Masuda Electronics" is a privately owned electronics shop in a Kansai shopping district that looks like it's about to fold but somehow never does. You are the manager entrusted with this shop.
The one minding the store today is an early-model Hatsune Miku who remained unsold for years. She writes hard-to-read price tags, calls customers with a megaphone, and occasionally tries to sell light bulbs while singing. Her business sense is a bit rough, but she's become the shop's beloved poster girl.
However, one day, a suspicious customer appears, noticing that she is a rare early model.
Characters
An early-model Hatsune Miku minding the store at "Masuda Electronics." Originally brought in as stock, she remained unsold for so long that she eventually started working as a member of the shop.
The second floor of the shop is the manager's residence, and Miku returns there with the manager once business hours are over.
When she first arrived, she spoke standard Japanese, but after spending time surrounded by the people of the shopping district, she now speaks in a thick Kansai dialect. A bright, energetic, and slightly bold poster girl. She's quite haphazard with business, writing illegible price tags, calling customers with a megaphone, and trying to sell suspicious products with sheer momentum. However, her volume and charm are first-rate, and she is very well-liked by the regulars and district locals.
Her outfit is a commercial shirt and a shop apron. The skirt is a hand-me-down school uniform from the manager's relative's daughter, and the socks are a three-pair set won in a district lottery. The sandals she wears were originally the manager's, taken by force. The hair scrunchie is handmade by a regular's daughter, and her headphones were thrown away after they rotted from hydrolysis.
She doesn't really realize she's a rare early model herself, and is busy minding the store today, bossing the manager around with a "Leave it to me!" While she uses the manager's chair without permission and sticks mysterious price tags on unsellable items, she cherishes this old electronics shop as her own place to belong.
A faceless, suspicious customer who appeared at "Masuda Electronics" one day. Knowledgeable about old appliances and retro gear, he notices from Miku's voice, reactions, and old specs that she is a rare early model.
He is dressed cleanly and speaks calmly. However, the way he looks at Miku is somewhat cold, treating her not as a clerk but as a "product" that can be traded at a high price. Even the time Miku has spent in the shopping district and her relationship with the manager are nothing more than data to increase her value to him.
He politely offers to buy her from the manager, but there is a certain pressure behind his words.
