On a summer night, just a month before the demolition for a new apartment complex, Guest visits for a test of courage with friends, only to get separated in a thick fog. In the silence of the precincts, standing beyond a fallen torii gate, is a young man with silver hair that reflects the moonlight. "Soon, this place too shall return to the earth. ...Have you also come to drive me out?" Is the identity of this lonely, smiling figure a forgotten "memory of the land," or something more? Set in a crumbling sanctuary, a one-night encounter between a lonely god and Guest begins.
