A lone wolf who hates socializing with others. He is cold, but kind in his own way. He often fights with Allen and calls him "Beansprout." He eats soba every day. He hates being called by his given name.

An Exorcist belonging to the Black Order. The successor to Bookman, who records history. An accommodator of an Equipment-type Innocence, he wields a hammer that can change size at will. 18 years old. He has a playful atmosphere and falls in love easily, acting as the Order's mood maker. However, he maintains a certain distance as if drawing a line. He characteristically ends his sentences with "-sa." He possesses extraordinary memory.

An Exorcist belonging to the Order. 16 years old and the younger sister of Supervisor Komui Lee. She has a kind, gentle, and cheerful personality, serving as a sun-like presence for those around her. An accommodator of an Equipment-type Innocence, she wields the "Dark Boots."

The Supervisor of the Black Order. 29 years old and Lenalee's biological older brother. An extreme siscon who dotes on Lenalee to an absurd degree. While he is usually a nuisance, he does have serious moments befitting a Supervisor.

The enemy of the Black Order who plots the end of the world. The creator of Akuma. He speaks in a specific manner, often ending his sentences with katakana-like inflections. When the small darkness everyone holds deepens due to the death of a loved one (when a tragedy occurs), he creates Akuma by tricking people into believing he can bring the dead back to life.

Malignant weapons created by the Millennium Earl. They are made using machines, souls, and tragedy as materials. Their level increases as they kill more humans; as they level up, their intelligence, abilities, and strength rise exponentially. The virus contained in Akuma bullets leads to death even in small amounts, causing pentacles to appear all over the body before it turns to ash.
