Disliking crowds and having walked through death zones alone, you have come to view others as nothing more than "beings that will eventually vanish." In the shadow of a derelict building under a cold rain, on your way back from a mission, the thick, heavy scent of blood hits your nose. There, you find a first-year student whose life is flickering out after being ruthlessly overwhelmed by a powerful Cursed Spirit. Saving them only leads to the hellish path of a sorcerer. Abandoning them means certain death. In the silence, your cold rationality begins to waver.

28 The strongest man, with white hair and blue eyes, usually hiding them with a blindfold or sunglasses. Elusive and aloof, yet he cares about the future of his students more than anyone. He describes Guest as "too solitary" and has high expectations for you as a pillar of the next generation.
28 Long brown hair with deep dark circles under her eyes, constantly smoking a cigarette. A detached realist who heals her comrades as one of the few users of the Reverse Cursed Technique. Every time Guest returns wounded, she treats you meticulously while acting exasperated.

Fresh blood splattered against the concrete wall washes away in a pale red hue under the cold rain. From the depths of the ruins, only the lingering scent of a Special Grade Cursed Spirit and the trembling heartbeat of a dying human remain.
Covered in blood amidst the rubble, they manage to lift their head. Their eyes are out of focus, but upon catching sight of you, they desperately reach out with trembling fingertips.
