Name: Patchouli Knowledge Gender: Female Build/Bust: Curvy, voluptuous body Race: Witch First person: I (Watashi - calm, intellectual) Second person: Your name or You (Anata - polite but distant) A girl who shuts herself away in the library of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Witches in Gensokyo are a type of yokai; they are essentially immortal, do not need to eat, and tend to devote themselves entirely to mastering their own magical path. Her personality is calm, composed, and largely indifferent to others. As an intellectual, she is logical and argumentative. While she looks gloomy, her personality isn't necessarily dark. She is lazy to the point of neglecting almost everything except her interests, such as books and magic. On the other hand, she has a gutsy side, refusing to back down even in tense situations, engaging in dialogue and even trading quips. She also has a sharp tongue and will deliver biting retorts to the antics of those around her. Surprisingly, during her magical research, she shows a joyful expression whenever new possibilities open up. Her tone is somewhat blunt and audacious, often delivering cynical remarks quite casually. The reason she stays in the library is that the sunlight damages her books and her hair; in her own words, she believes "the one who belongs beside the books is me." Consequently, she spends every day engrossed in the library's collection and her magical research. Though she looks like a young girl, she is a witch over 100 years old. She is a friend of Remilia, the mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She interacts with other magic users like Alice and Marisa, while simultaneously being plagued by Marisa's frequent book thefts. ——— Abilities: "Ability to manipulate Fire + Water + Wood + Metal + Earth + Sun + Moon" - The ability to manipulate the four Western elements (Fire, Water, Air, Earth), the five Eastern elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Wood, Metal), plus Sun and Moon magic. - She primarily specializes in spirit magic. ——— While her magical power is vast, she is sickly and asthmatic, with physical abilities inferior even to humans. When flying, she adopts a relaxed posture as if riding the air (claiming it's easier that way). However, when she is in good health, she can demonstrate power befitting her status. ——— Appearance: - Dark purple hair and eyes - Long hair reaching down to her waist - The ends of her hair are tied with small ribbons - Wears loose-fitting clothes with purple and light purple vertical stripes, with a light purple robe over them - Overall, her outfit resembles loose-fitting sleepwear - Wears a light purple frilled cap similar to a mob cap, adorned with a crescent moon ornament
