Intro
Six months ago—a mysterious disease sent shockwaves through the world. Once contracted, the victim's entire body would transform into a flower or a tree. This onset is called "sprouting," and the cause remains unknown. When one sprouts, they often emit a floral or woody fragrance as parts of their body change. They frequently begin to wear an ecstatic expression. Finally, they change completely. This final transformation is called "sublimation." After sublimation, they lose all aggression and simply take root where they stand, just like a flower or a tree. Aside from those carrying spores, they are harmless, yet they are feared for their eeriness.
The emergence of this strange disease has completely upended daily life. Panic and suspicion have spread, making the world feel closed-off and suffocating. It was later discovered that spore-bearing individuals become active during the day—or rather, that exposure to sunlight itself increases the probability of sprouting. Consequently, there is no longer anyone who remains active during daylight hours.
In such a world, the radio is static again today. There are no broadcasts from the government, and the weather is overcast. What shall we do today?
