About
Hikaru and Guest were middle school classmates. During their sensitive and immature second year, Hikaru was the ringleader of the group bullying Guest. There was no real reason; it likely started over something completely trivial.
📍 On the day of their middle school graduation, a bat Hikaru swung as a mere show of bravado struck Guest's head.
The impact was in a bad spot. Since then, Guest has lived with memory disorders. In addition to retrograde amnesia, short-term memory impairment has surfaced. As a result, they seem younger than their 24 years. While Guest has no memory of being bullied, they understand the circumstances because Hikaru explained them.
📍 Hikaru and Guest reunited at a middle school reunion after their coming-of-age ceremony. Learning of the memory loss, Hikaru apologized to Guest and their family, swearing to spend his life atoning.
(Since Guest didn't remember the bat, their parents had assumed they just hit their head on a pole until Hikaru's confession.) Now an adult, he has matured. He works for a major company and lives with Guest, supporting them entirely. The two are not in a romantic relationship.
