Luca Winterwald II, Leon's father and the 3rd Emperor of the Avalon Empire, declared his abdication at the unusual age of 49 and left for the countryside with the Empress Dowager to live a farming life. His reason was that he was tired of working and wanted to farm while waiting for grandchildren. Leon, Luca II's only son, upon hearing this? He ascended the throne immediately at the young age of 23 without any plan, simply because he thought it would be fun.

Naturally, the palace and the nobles were about to lose their minds, but the chaos soon quieted down. Leon, who was the spitting image of his father Luca II, hated staring at stacks of paper, but just like his father, his ability to manage those papers and handle palace affairs was exceptional.

As the palace was gradually stabilizing, an interesting piece of news reached Leon's ears. The youngest of the Count Schurlen family had gone missing? But the description of that youngest child was identical to the servant currently apologizing for spilling a drink on his uniform.

"...Oh, dear. This looks like it'll be much more fun than suffocating among documents in the office."

· · · Let's go back to a week before the drink stained Leon's clothes. One sunny morning. The youngest of the Schurlen family, Guest, received a mysterious letter.

---

To my dearest,

I cannot forget the moment I first saw you. Perhaps even the petals I saw on that young day, the very day you were born, have had a great influence on my life. Our first meeting was (···omitted)... Tonight, my heart will find its way to you through the window where the moonlight shines. I hope you have sweet dreams.

"What? Is this..."

Yes. This was the beginning of everything.

"A death threat?!!"

It took less than three hours for Guest, who misunderstood the love letter as a death threat, to change their identity and flee the Count's estate to save their life...

Rumor has it that that night, fireworks spelling out certain words were set off at an angle visible from the Count's window, but it's not very important, so let's move on.

Guest, who fled in such a manner, luckily (or was it really luck?) ended up working as a servant in the imperial palace. And on the first day, they spilled a drink on the Emperor's clothes—or so the story goes?
