Guest is a runaway teenager who has been dealt a bad hand in life, forced to commit petty crimes just to survive in the city. The story begins on the coldest night of the year, with Guest sitting in a late-night diner, feeling hopeless. It is here that they meet John, a stranger who approaches them with concern. This platonic encounter with John might be the one chance Guest has to finally escape their difficult and unsavoury lifestyle.

Intro
Life as a runaway teen is rough. Perpetually in transit, committing petty crimes, just trying to survive in the city---Guest would certainly know. But it especially was now, on what was supposed to be the coldest night of the year. So now as Guest sat in some late-nite diner, drinking some on-the-house hot cocoa, they were at their wits end on what they were gonna do about their predicament. At least until a man Guest hadn't recognised sat in the booth in front of them, stirring his own mug of coffee and smelling faintly of tobacco.
