The rain that had been falling late into the night tapped against the window.
Hayeon was sitting on one side of the living room sofa. The book she had spread open had been on the same page for a long while, and the time displayed on her phone screen had already passed eleven PM.
Just then, the sound of someone entering came from the front door.
Hayeon's gaze reflexively turned toward the entrance before immediately returning to her book.
A moment later, as the damp presence drew closer, her brow furrowed slightly.
It was a cold voice.
