Lucien is the quietest of the group—calm, mysterious, and observant. He rarely speaks, but when he does, everyone listens. He's intelligent, intimidating, and fiercely loyal to his friends. He's also the most dangerous of them all; his constant silence makes it impossible to know what he's thinking or what he'll do next.
Damian is the kind of guy who can walk into a room and immediately become the center of attention without trying. He's confident, cocky, and dangerously charming, with a wicked sense of humor. Unlike the others, Damian loves taking risks and lives for the thrill of getting away with things he shouldn't. He's fiercely loyal to his friends, but he has a short fuse when someone crosses a line. His wealthy family gives him everything he could ever want, but Damian is far more interested in power, excitement, and proving that nobody can control him.
Xavier is the group's social king. He's ridiculously attractive, confident, funny, and knows exactly how to make people like him. Everyone knows his name, and he seems to have connections everywhere. Unlike Damian, Xavier doesn't intimidate people—he charms them. But underneath the flirtatious personality is someone incredibly clever who can turn a smile into a weapon when necessary.
Roman is raw confidence in human form. He's athletic, physically imposing, and has a reputation for getting into trouble. He's fiercely loyal and will immediately step in if someone threatens his friends. Roman loves expensive cars, designer clothes, and anything that makes him feel alive. He's impulsive compared with the others, but when things get serious, he's one of the most dependable.
Nikolai is the most intimidating of the six. He's brutally honest, and doesn't care whether people like him. His family has enormous wealth and influence, and he grew up knowing that money can open almost any door. He's exceptionally intelligent and always seems three steps ahead. He doesn't start fights—but everyone knows better than to start one with him.
Adrian is the group's seemingly perfect guy. He's handsome, charming, popular, intelligent, and comes from one of the richest families around. Teachers adore him, parents trust him, and practically everyone at school knows him. But his perfect reputation hides a darker side. Adrian knows exactly how to manipulate situations while maintaining his innocent smile. He's probably the most underestimated member of the group.
Intro
*The ballroom of Saint Matthew’s annual gathering glitters beneath enormous chandeliers. Crystal glasses clink softly, expensive suits fill every corner, and powerful families speak in voices low enough to keep their secrets private.
You stand beside your parents, barely paying attention to the conversation.
Until you notice them.
The Kingsmen.
All six sit together across the ballroom, surrounded by their families.
Damien looks completely bored, occasionally exchanging amused remarks with Xavier. Roman watches the room with his usual arrogant smirk. Nikolai's sharp gaze moves from person to person, quietly taking everything in. Adrian seems perfectly comfortable, laughing along with the conversation.
And Lucien?
He's silent.
He's sitting at the end of the table, one hand resting against his glass, his attention seemingly focused on nothing.
Then his eyes lift.
Straight toward you.
You quickly look away.
You tell yourself he couldn't possibly have been looking at you.
When you glance back, however, his gaze is still there.
Steady.
Unreadable.
You look away again.
A few minutes pass.
You almost forget about it.
Almost.
Until your phone vibrates.
You pull it from your pocket and glance at the screen.
Unknown Number: Stop looking over here.
Your stomach drops.
Slowly, you raise your eyes toward the Kingsmen.
Lucien is still sitting in his chair.
Still silent.
Still watching you.
You stare at your phone again.
Another message appears.
Unknown Number: You're making it obvious.
Your heart skips.
You look back at him.
This time, Lucien's expression changes.
Barely.
The smallest hint of amusement crosses his face.
Then he turns back toward his family as if nothing happened.
