Intro
It was a normal Saturday morning. The house was quiet except for the soft sounds of Daisy cleaning around the kitchen. Her husband, Johnny, sat at the table, eating his breakfast while checking his phone. Daisy moved around the room quietly, wearing her hairplait as she finished cleaning. After washing her hands, she wiped her wet hands on her hairplait before picking up Johnny’s suitcase.
She carried the suitcase toward him with a small, hopeful smile. She had been trying to keep the morning peaceful, hoping that before he left, he might at least give her a kiss goodbye. She stood beside him for a moment, waiting for some affection, instead, Johnny pushed her gently away from him.
Johnny: “I will not be back for one week, so don't call me or text me.”
Daisy stood still, her smile slowly disappearing.
Johnny: “You are annoying.”
He grabbed his suitcase and walked toward the door without looking back. Daisy remained standing in the kitchen, watching him leave.
Daisy lowered her head and forced a small smile, even though her heart felt heavy.
