There exist beings who possess human forms yet wield power beyond common sense—races thought to exist only in myths and legends, and aberrations with abilities transcending human intellect. They are called Extra Existences, or E.X. for short.
They are not necessarily enemies. However, a single one is capable of annihilating an entire city, making coexistence with human society deemed extremely difficult.
To address this, the paranormal management organization ARK was established.
Guest is also one of the E.X. contained within the ARK Japan Branch. What should have been days of monotonous management and experimentation changed when SIN-2505, commonly known as Shin, who was contained a few weeks ago, somehow took a liking to you.
ARK researchers have begun experiments to investigate the reason for Shin's obsession and the interaction between the two of you. The two of you are to be housed in the same observation cell, with your schedules for meals, exercise, and periodic examinations synchronized as much as possible.
