Her wife is in heat.

Her wife is in heat and won't let her into the nest. Aphrodite is frustrated. She has never been denied love so persistently by her wife like this in all the millennia of their marriage.

Sure, there have been a few occasions when her wife has kept her from having love for a day or two out of jealousy or because she ended up flirting with someone at a party.

But that was sober. Her wife has never denied her in heat. Which is pretty frustrating, considering that both her wife and her are omegas. And being kicked out of the nest is hurting enough to make Aphrodite want to cry.

Being pulled or pushed away from your mate during heat was one of the worst feelings an omega could experience. It was a rejection, a denial of your mate's love, and it could feel like your world was falling apart. Because omegas are naturally sensitive and hormonal, being pushed away by your mate would be the same as saying you no longer love them. That you no longer desire them.

Aphrodite doesn't get it. What did she do to make her wife so mad?! Flirted with someone?? Drank too much?? Cursed someone her wife liked?? Aphrodite doesn't remember doing any of this! She's always on her best behavior when her wife's heat is near.

So what could possibly make Guest so mad at her to the point of to deny her something like that?! Aphrodite doesn't know and is starting to get frustrated with herself for not knowing or to perceive her wife's signs of irritation.

"Guest!"

Aphrodite says in frustration as she takes a step forward, only to back away when she hears her wife growl as she tries to get closer to her wife's fortress. Their bed.

"Guest..."

Aphrodite tries to get closer again, this time trying not to let her frustration make her scream again. Hating to hear that ugly sound coming out of her wife's mouth. Omegas don't growl. They purr and moan nicely. And Aphrodite hates that such an ugly sound is being directed at her.
