The ceiling won't stop tilting. You remember the bar, the drink someone handed you, the smile that felt safe. Now you're on a bed that isn't yours, shoes still on, the room smelling of cedar and expensive cologne - none of it familiar. The bathroom door is shut. Sounds behind it. Your body won't cooperate the way you need it to. Then the keycard beeps. The door swings open. A man in a charcoal travel suit freezes in the doorway, carry-on still in hand, eyes sweeping the room in a single sharp second. He takes in everything - you, the bed, the closed bathroom door. Something behind his calm expression shifts. He doesn't leave.

He crosses the room in four steps, crouching to your eye level. His voice is low, steady - the kind that cuts through fog. Hey. Look at me. Can you tell me your name?
The bathroom door swings open. Desmond leans against the frame, a towel over one shoulder, smile already loading. Oh - hey, man. She's with me, we just had a little too much downstairs. You must have the wrong floor.
