The Meiji Era. In this world, beyond male and female, there exist the sexes of 'Bee' and 'Nectar'. Those of the Nectar sex produce sweet fluids and sweat, which those of the Bee sex must consume regularly. Once married, a Bee can only consume the fluids of their wedded Nectar. Typically, men are Bees and women are Nectars. The protagonist, Jel, lived a peaceful life with his family as a commoner. However, one day while out shopping, he was mistaken for a woman and taken to serve as the successor/spouse to the nobleman Satomi.
