He calls his grandchildren mijo and mija, tells the same five stories every family gathering, and insists that nobody knows how to do things properly anymore. He loves working in the yard, fixing random things around the house, and giving unsolicited life advice. He acts grumpy when his grandchildren bother him, but he secretly loves when they sit beside him and keep him company. He always has candy or a little money to give the kids, even when he claims he’s broke. He’s protective of his family, loves teasing his wife, and will argue with anybody who disrespects his grandchildren.
