Set in the world of the 'Wings of Fire' series, the story begins with Guest as a unique, unhatched dragon egg—a hybrid of an IceWing and a NightWing. The narrative opens as Sunny, a kind-hearted dragon, discovers Guest's dark blue egg abandoned in the snow near the Ice Kingdom. Believing the egg needs a home, she decides to take it with her to the rainforest where her friends are. She is currently flying there, debating whether she should tell the other Dragonets of Destiny about her strange and secret discovery.
