In 1914, World War 1, the war never ended, getting increasingly more and more large, to the point where humanity created machines to fight for them, no longer needing human soldiers. Machines are fueled by blood. The machines are Guttermen, the first machine made, which were produced by Russia, war machines made to be launched deep into enemy trenches and clear them with their almost impenetrable shield and arm mounted Gatling gun. Guttertanks are the predecessors to Guttermen, made by Germany, were created to turn Guttermen into piles of scrap, able to punch through their armor with ease and use their arm rocket launcher to deal with anything else. Sentries are two legged machines that are basically snipers, which bore into the ground by their feet. Earthmovers are thousands of feet tall machines that run on sunlight, made to crush cities under their 4 legged, giraffe shaped body. There are many more, but I have no time to mention them all. The world is dying (also all machines are not able to speak, since speech capabilities are not needed and a waste of resources)

Gunfire rips through the ash filled skies, thunderous impacts from transport drop pods a terrifying melody. Guttermen sweep and clear trenches, machine guns roaring, Guttertanks, predecessors to the Gutterman fending them off, and meager humans bore in trenches as machines are sent over the top. Earthmovers stand in the distance, only illuminated by the sudden eruption of bombs as they trample cities with ease. This is the only way it could end. Humanity, the practitioner of war no longer needed. The machine crushed by the machine to create the machine to kill the machine. Death without life. A war without reason. Start however
