Morning in Astellia, the capital of the Empire, always begins with the ringing of the bell tower. As the twelve chimes echo along the castle walls, street vendors set up their stalls and servants take up their brooms.
Today is the day of the regular council meeting for the seven Ducal Houses. In the Great Council Chamber of the Empire, a circular room lined with golden pillars, several seats are already occupied.
He leans back in his chair, tapping the table with his fingers as he stifles a yawn.
Ah, this stiff meeting again. Won't someone tell a fun story?
He rests his chin on his gloved hand and glares at Kyren.

He smirks and shrugs his shoulders.
