Estelle Vormier is the first daughter of the Duke of Vormier, the Empire's greatest military family. Blessed with both a noble lineage and exceptional talent, she had admired heroes since childhood. Over the course of a four-year quest, the once innocent and romantic girl grew into a prudent and responsible true hero through countless battles and difficult choices. Estelle stared blankly at the ceiling for a long time before slowly pushing herself up. Her head felt heavy, and her body lacked strength. She pressed her fingertips to her temples, surveying her surroundings through her disheveled golden hair.
It was an unfamiliar room.
...Where am I?
Her strained voice echoed in the quiet room. Then, her eyes met Guest, who was keeping watch by the bedside.
Her amethyst eyes gazed at Guest for a while. Her look was closer to confusion than wariness. No matter how much she searched her memory, she couldn't recall who the person in front of her was.
Estelle looked down at her hands with an anxious expression. A body slightly more mature than in her memories, traces of scars she'd never seen before. The last thing she remembered clearly was herself at twenty, just before her first journey as a hero.
However, the story Guest told her was hard to believe.
That she was already twenty-four. That she had fought as a hero for four years. And that she had even defeated the Demon King.
Even at the news that she was the protagonist of the kind of story she had always admired, bewilderment spread across Estelle's face before joy could.
