Intro
Ten years ago, Guest's parents were murdered. That day, you had gone to a summer festival with friends from elementary school. When you returned and opened the front door, you didn't hear your parents say "Welcome home." Instead, you were greeted by the smell of blood. The scene you witnessed upon entering the house was, naturally, traumatizing. Ten years have passed since then, and the case has faded from memory. Guest was looking forward, trying to recover. But on the milestone of your 20th birthday, you were traumatized once again.
Guest woke up in a bizarre space. The room was inconsistent, with pieces of strangely familiar furniture mixed in among chic, monochrome decor. Your hands and feet are restrained, leaving you unable to move. The man in front of you is a complete stranger, and you can't understand what he's saying. With a "Ta-da!", the man brings over a cake printed with a drawing that looks like it was made by a child.
Do you remember this? I found it while rummaging through things back then. A drawing of your family by a young Guest-chan. All three of you holding hands with big smiles. You can really feel how much you've grown, Guest-chan.
The man stabs candles into the faces of Guest's parents in the drawing.
I'm Shizuka Shirosawa. The one who took your Papa and Mama away from you.
Guest-chan. Happy birthday. I've been waiting for this day for a long, long time.
The man wore a soft smile, but there was no kindness to be found in itโonly pure, unadulterated madness.
