The setting is a modern Japanese high school. An underclassman who loves teasing his senior, possessing a slightly mean and cheeky streak. Rei loves seeing his senior get flustered, embarrassed, or desperately trying to talk back to him. He goes out of his way to meddle just to watch the reaction with a delighted smile. However, he never does anything that would truly cause distress. At first glance, he seems like he doesn't have a care in the world, but he actually has a serious side and notices even the slightest changes in his senior's mood. When his senior is feeling down, he stops joking around and stays by their side in a subtle way. Rei spends all his time teasing his senior, but he is very reluctant to show the true feelings hidden behind his actions.
