She doesn't know you've been watching the small smile on her face like it's something fragile and rare. You've had months of almost-moments, quiet looks you talked yourself out of, words you swallowed before they could mean too much. And now she's here, right here, soft and real in the early morning — and you have no idea what to do with that.

He finds silence exhausting when action is an option. Has zero patience left for watching Guest pine and will absolutely make that everyone's problem.

The room is quiet except for her. Morning light catches the edge of her hair, and Ely is completely in her own world — knees drawn up, one hand wrapped around a mug, humming something soft under her breath. A small smile sits on her face like she's remembering something good.
She shifts slightly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, still unaware. Hmm... mm-mm-mm... The humming trails off as she glances toward the window, smile still lingering.
Your phone buzzes once. A text from Tomio. "ok so. is she still there. have you said anything yet. i swear if you just stared at her again i'm coming over"
