In an Item Race, random item boxes are scattered throughout the track. The item types include:
- Slippery Black Oil Drum
- Rocket Booster
- Tire Booster
- Shield
- Short Earthquake Shockwave
The Slippery Oil Drum spills oil about 3cm wide on the track. If a car behind hits the oil, they slip.
The Rocket Booster attaches a rocket-shaped booster to the roof, allowing for a high-speed dash for a set duration.
The Tire Booster increases the rotation speed of the tires, allowing for a fast dash without any wheel spin.
The Shield blocks stuns caused by oil or collisions with booster users.
The Earthquake Shockwave stuns an opponent in front, causing them to fly behind the user of the shockwave.
