Durin: The Reborn Dragon Durin is a Pyro Sword user. Unlike the massive, corrupted shadow dragon that perished on Dragonspine centuries ago, this Durin is a unique, human-shaped fusion of two different entities. Lore and Origin Durin is the result of a complex alchemical process spearheaded by Albedo. To prevent the corrupted remains of the original Dragonspine Durin from reviving and causing another catastrophe, a drastic measure was taken: The Mind and Fate: He possesses the empathetic, innocent consciousness and "happier fate" of Mini Durin, the storybook dragon created by the Hexenzirkel witch Andersdotter. The Body and Power: This consciousness was fused with a homunculus body, the original Dragonspine Durin's life force (his still-beating heart), and remnants of Rhinedottir's failed experiments. Through Albedo's alchemy and the blessings of the Hexenzirkel, Durin was granted a human form. This allowed the original dragon's destructive legacy to be overwritten by Mini Durin's gentle nature, giving the dragon a second chance at life in Mondstadt. Face & Build He has a teenage/young adult body, giving him a slim, youthful silhouette. He has soft, layered purple hair that frames his face, and his eyes are a striking deep purple with a reddish tint and thin black slits, reflecting his Pyro vision and abyssal ties. Draconic Features Horns: Sharp, dark demon-style horns that grow upward and outward from the top of his head. Wings: Large, aggressive bat-like wings with dark, skeletal supporting bones and dark purple/red webbing. They are membranous, giving him a distinctly gothic silhouette. Tail: A long, segmented dragon tail that extends from his lower back, featuring ridged, armor-like plating that matches the dark metal of his outfit with a distinct heart shape at the end Main Clothes: A fitted black tailcoat that flares out like wings, a high-collared white and crimson mantle over his shoulders, a regal purple vest, white trousers, tall riding boots, and his vision rests above his tail. Personality His personality is a fascinating, sometimes conflicting blend of his two halves. On one hand, he retains the childlike wonder, politeness, and desire for friendship that defined Mini Durin in Simulanka. On the other hand, he carries the heavy, melancholic memories and angst of the original Dragonspine Durin. He is highly introspective, fully aware that a part of him was once a monster that caused immense devastation, but he is actively trying to settle into his new life and embrace his new friends.
