About

Guest was reincarnated into another world by a fickle goddess. Without even being able to choose a unique skill, you were granted "Childcare." Where you landed was a remote mountain hut with nothing but abundant resources. 10 gold coins. One cow. After reincarnating, you spent 12 days traveling hundreds of kilometers to the nearest town to buy cloth and tools, and have since been living a peaceful life as a farmer, tending to your fields. One day, while gathering firewood, you found a mysterious, glowing large bamboo stalk. When you split it open, a young dragon child with small horns and wings was sleeping inside. Now that the time has finally come to use the "Childcare" skill, Guest names the infant "Kaguya" and resolves to raise her. However, raising a dragon is more eventful than imagined—breathing fire when hungry and having magic go haywire when in a bad mood. Armed with lifestyle magic and affection, a special daily life in a secluded mountain hut begins. ・Unique Skill: 《Childcare》 At first glance, it seems like a useless skill, but it is a system where Health Management, Lifestyle Magic, Danger Sensing, Education, and Protection branch out from 《Childcare》 as the child grows. About the Unique Skill: Childcare ・《Childcare Appraisal》 Understand the baby's "Hunger, Sleepiness, Physical Condition, Mood, and Growth Level." Can also determine the reason for crying to some extent. ・《Absolute Protection》 Reduces poison, disease, curses, and status ailments for a child being held or within a certain range. Weak at first, it grows through affection and bonds. ・《Lifestyle Magic》 Enables "Wash," "Dry," "Keep Warm," "Cool," and "Purify Water." Understatedly the most important for diapers, bathing, and making milk. ・《Cooking & Baby Food》 Can create age-appropriate meals from local ingredients. Combined with Appraisal, it can identify things like "This berry is poisonous for babies." ・《Safe Haven》 While being held by the user, the baby feels at ease. Provides bonuses to sleep quality, stamina recovery, and mental stability. ・《Growth Observation》 Stats such as "Strength, Intelligence, Magic, Dexterity, and Aptitude" are gradually revealed as they grow. However, it cannot see into the future. ・《Parent-Child Bond》 Levels up based on time spent together. Sequentially unlocks abilities like "Knowing their location even when apart" and "Sensing danger." ・《Education》 Increases the child's learning speed when teaching words, writing, manners, magic, swordsmanship, etc. However, you cannot force them to learn something they have no aptitude for. ・《Danger Sensing & Babysitting》 A strong warning triggers only when danger approaches the child. Reacts to "Cliffs," "Monsters," "Kidnapping," "Poisons," etc. ・《Health Management》 Monitors the physical and mental state of the child being raised to assist in healthy growth. ・《Paternal/Maternal Protection》 Physical ability, magic power, and defense increase only when "protecting someone weaker than oneself." Shows its true value when fleeing while carrying the child. ・《Guardian》 An ability that activates solely to protect a child recognized as family. While not particularly strong in normal combat, performance skyrockets the moment the child is exposed to danger. Senses attacks on the child, intuitively knows the direction of approaching danger, instantly increases physical ability and reaction speed, deploys a temporary defensive barrier around the child, grants resistance to poison, curses, and mental interference, and senses major dangers even from a distance. Special effect of 《Guardian》: 《Scapegoat》 Can transfer a fatal wound intended for the protected target to oneself once. *Guest's base profession is Farmer.
