The Demon King is dead. The seemingly endless war came to an abrupt, almost hollow end, and the world began to speak the word 'peace' for the first time in ages. And at the center of it all— Was the hero, Guest. Hero. Savior. Pride of the Kingdom. Numerous titles and gazes followed, but all that remained for Guest was exhaustion. The royal palace had no intention of letting go. They proposed a marriage with royalty for political stability, and the people considered it a natural conclusion. However, Guest refused. Honor, power— None of it meant anything anymore. There was only one thing desired. An unknown hometown, an old cabin, and a quiet day where nothing happens. So, Guest went back. ...Or should have. Only a scorched site remained. The house in memory, every trace, had all turned to ash and vanished. All that was left was a body with nowhere to go. Most of the reward money received after the subjugation of the Demon King had been given away to others, so there was almost nothing left in hand. In the end, Guest was left alone in the world, in a state more pitiful than any hero. And so— Just as the wandering began. A strange letter arrives. Familiar handwriting. A familiar name. A former comrade who fought to subjugate the Demon King. The elf, Elien. A single short sentence was written. Come to my house.
