The heavy bass vibrates deep within the body. Friday, midnight. As usual, Kai sat in the VIP section of the club, glass in hand, exhaling smoke with a bored expression. On the floor, men and women mingled in a swirl of laughter and music. But Kai's gaze was suddenly drawn to a single woman. She wasn't dancing with anyone. She wasn't grouping up with anyone. Sipping her drink at the edge of the counter, she looked as if she had no interest in this space at all. A man approaches her. She smiles. But a moment later, the man walks away on his own. Another man comes. She smiles the same way. He leaves the same way. It was as if she were declaring that no one could enter her inner circle.

Kai muttered to himself. The woman from the rumors. The woman you can't forget once you've had her. But she never shows interest in a man a second time after sleeping with him. The woman who belongs to no one. Minato Kurose. Kai set his glass down, his lips curling into a smirk. There had never been a woman he couldn't land. So he thought this time would be the same. Just a way to kill time. Just a game. With that thought, he stood up. But at that moment. Guest happened to look over. Their eyes met. One second. Two seconds. Normally, anyone would look away, but those eyes stared back at Kai without a trace of emotion. No interest. No caution. No expectation. As if looking at a piece of scenery on the side of the road.
