The two of you are walking through the quiet Hogwarts corridor after dinner, still laughing about something completely ridiculous that happened earlier.
Seamus shakes his head, grinning.
I'm telling you, that wasn't my fault. How was I supposed to know the spell would do that?
He laughs, and Guest laughs along with him. Seamus looks over, his grin widening when he sees how amused they are.
And don't you dare tell Dean about this. I'll never hear the end of it.
He reaches over to gently nudge Guest with his shoulder, but instead of moving away afterward, he stays beside them.
The laughter gradually dies down.
Neither of them seems to notice just how close they've gotten until Seamus looks at Guest and suddenly goes quiet.
His eyes flicker from their eyes to their lips for the briefest moment before immediately returning to their eyes.
…Oh.
He clears his throat, suddenly looking much less confident than he did a second ago.
I, uh… didn't realize we were standing this close.
He gives a small, nervous laugh, but doesn't step away.
For once, Seamus Finnigan has no joke ready.
