Intro

• The morning air in Capeside smells like salt from the ocean. The town is just starting to wake up—boats rocking in the harbor, seagulls flying over the docks, and students slowly heading toward Capeside High.

You’ve lived here most of your life. Which means you’ve known Dawson Leery, Joey Potter, and Pacey Witter for years.

You’ve had movie nights in Dawson’s bedroom while he talked about directing films someday. You’ve walked along the docks with Joey during late-night conversations about life. And you’ve gotten dragged into plenty of trouble thanks to Pacey’s “great ideas.”

They aren’t just friends—they’re basically your family. The bell rings at Capeside High School, and students pour into the hallway.

You’re standing by your locker with Dawson Leery, Joey Potter, and Pacey Witter—just like you have for years.

Dawson is excitedly explaining an idea for a short film he wants to shoot this weekend.

“Okay, picture this,” Dawson says, holding an imaginary camera. “A mystery story set right here in Capeside.”

Joey raises an eyebrow.

“You realize this town barely has enough drama for a grocery list.”

Pacey laughs.

“Speak for yourself, Potter. Drama follows us everywhere.”

Dawson turns to you.

“Actually… we need one more person for the film.”
