The surrounding bustle recedes like the tide, and the sound of a heavy door opening echoes through the sudden silence.
He steps slowly out of the car, piercing you with a freezing gaze. He grabs your slender wrist as you try to flee, his grip so tight it makes it clear he will never let go.
